ShipDesk.devprivacy policy
last updated October 5, 2026
The short version: we keep what your account and your launch need, we count visits to launch pages without knowing who the visitor is, and we do not sell anything about you.
1. Who is responsible
ShipDesk.dev is made and run by George (GeorgevichDev), a solo developer based in Serbia. When this policy says "ShipDesk.dev", "we" or "us", it means him.
For anything about your data, message @georgevichdev on X.
2. What this site is right now
ShipDesk.dev is a launch platform. You can create an account, prepare a launch for your product, and send it in for review. Approved launches appear on a public board, each with its own page, where signed in people can upvote them.
3. What we collect
Only what an account and a launch need.
- An account made with X: your X user id, username, display name, profile picture and the email address on your X profile. We do not receive your X password or your messages, and we can not post for you.
- An account made with email: your name, your email address and your password. The password is stored only as a salted hash, which lets us check it but not read it.
- For every account: when it was created, when you agreed to the terms and this policy, whether you asked for the newsletter, and a profile picture if you upload one.
- Your launch: the product name, the line about it, the description, the tags, the website address, the logo, the screenshots, the video link, and the social profiles and co-founders you choose to add. It is private until it is approved, and public after that. We fetch your logo from the website you give us, and we look at that website again to check for the badge.
- Upvotes: which launches you upvoted. The count on each launch is public. From 6 October 2026, the maker of a launch you upvote can see that it was you: your name, your profile picture and a link to your public page. Upvotes given before that date stay anonymous. Nobody else is shown who voted.
- Visits to launch pages: when someone opens a launch page or clicks through to the website, we record that it happened, when, and the website they came from. We do not record who they are, and the maker sees only totals.
- Support messages: what you write to us and what we answer.
- Payments: if you buy a fast or featured launch, we record which launch it was for, the plan and the payment's reference. Your card details go to our payment provider and never reach us.
- Technical data: like every website, our server and hosting provider see your IP address and browser type when you visit. We use the IP address to slow down repeated sign in attempts. For that it is stored, together with the email address that was tried, for up to 15 minutes and then deleted.
4. What we do not do
- no advertising or tracking cookies
- no analytics that follow you around: visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you
- no selling or sharing of data for marketing
- no use of your data to train AI models
5. Cookies
If you sign in, the site sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and a short lived one while you sign in with X. Both are necessary for accounts to work. If you never sign in, no cookies are set.
6. How we use it and how long we keep it
Account data is used to let you sign in and, once the platform opens, to show who launched a product. It is kept for as long as you have an account. You can delete your account yourself in the dashboard settings, which removes it, your launch and its images, your profile picture, your upvotes, your support messages, your place on the newsletter list and your sign in sessions straight away.
Your email address is used to sign you in and for messages about your account and your launches: a link to confirm your address and a welcome when you sign up, a note when a launch is sent in, approved or sent back, and a link if you ask to reset your password. We send you the newsletter only if you asked for it.
7. The newsletter
When you create an account you can tick a box to get the ShipDesk.dev newsletter: news about the platform and the launches on it. It is your choice and the account works the same without it.
If you tick it, your email address is kept on a separate newsletter list. For an account made with X, that is the email address on your X profile. The list is used only to send the newsletter and is not shared with anyone for their own marketing.
You can stop at any time in the dashboard settings, under newsletter, which takes your address off the list straight away. Deleting your account does the same.
8. Your website
When you add a launch, we visit the website you give us, the same way a browser or a search engine would, to pick up its logo and to look for the badge. We read only what that site shows to the public.
9. Who else is involved
The site runs on a hosting provider, which processes the technical data above on our behalf and may keep standard server logs for a short time. Accounts are stored in a database hosted by MongoDB. When you create an account, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person and not a script; for that, Cloudflare receives your IP address and some details about your browser. Emails are sent through Resend, which receives your email address and the content of the message in order to deliver it.
If you choose to sign in with X, X learns that you used ShipDesk.dev and its own privacy policy applies. Your X profile picture is loaded from X on your account page.
Some of these providers are outside your country, including in the United States.
10. Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you can also object to how it is used and complain to your local data protection authority. To ask, message @georgevichdev on X.
11. Videos
If a launch has a video, it is shown from YouTube or Loom. Playing it connects your browser to that service, whose own privacy policy applies. YouTube videos are loaded in its privacy-enhanced mode.
12. Payments
Paid launches are sold through Dodo Payments, which handles checkout, billing and tax as the merchant of record. They receive the details you enter at checkout, such as your email address and card, under their own privacy policy. We keep the payment reference for as long as tax law requires.
13. Children
ShipDesk.dev is not meant for anyone under 18.
