about
Auto Ducking is a macOS menu bar app that lowers your volume when the mic turns on and restores it when the mic turns off. Built for dictation and talking to AI with music playing. It never records, transcribes or uploads audio, and runs in the App Sandbox. Requires macOS 14+. Free for 7 days, then a one-time $7.99 lifetime unlock, no subscription. 2.0 adds a new status panel, a dot-matrix menu bar duck, settings in five pages, a welcome guide and more reliable volume restore after device changes, sleep and relaunch.
